Inspiration found in Nature
The Narrows offers a retreat surrounded by lush nature, bird sounds and wild species making an appearance almost daily. The centre is busy this summer, with private workshops, retreats and some residencies.
During the summer so much inspiration is had, by the vibrant colours from all the leafy vegetation, the markings on trees and leaves, the somewhat elusive, but apparent wild species (bears in trees, baby birds in nests, wild turkeys who like to hang out on the deck), the sounds and the movement found at the lake, whether still or moving.
We hope everyone is having a great summer. It is hot here and the smoke has unfortunately finally made an appearance.
Much of my inspiration for art, comes from the wild. The movement, stillness, the forms, the line of nature.
