The Residency Program is intended to give artists an opportunity to imagine and create in an inspirational, contemplative and remote setting.

Located near Kootenay Lake, the Retreat centre is nestled among cottonwood, cedar trees and ponderosa pines. Away from the distractions of daily life, a residency allows one the time to renew and focus on their creative practice and experience a sense of tranquility. People looking to escape must consider whether or not this is the right environment for them.

*Transport to and from the retreat is by motor boat.

One trip per week by boat can be made available if necessary, for groceries and re-supply.

Successful recipients are responsible for paying the remainder of the fee, as well as the full cost of travel, and material fees. Meals are not included but there is a full kitchen to prepare your own. Awards are based on the benefit gained by participation in the residency program.
