Glamping - yurt raising for the Art Retreat
Once the land was purchased and the dream was on its way to being realized, we built a platform and raised a yurt to stay in while we built the straw bale retreat.
As we needed to raise this in the winter, we had to bring all materials over by boat, yurt skylight included (awkward), load them on our 8 year old son's wagon, and pull it down the snow road to the site. It was a bit of a challenge but resulted in a cozy yurt that we've spent many nights in, while building the Art retreat.
The Yurt is now available as part of the Art and Ecology retreat for artist stays.
